the steam railway from Paignton to Kingswear, then the
ferry to Dartmouth, visit the medieval shops, have
lunch, tour the castle, cruise the river and relax.

Getting to know Paignton - start with the Pier - go to
the end and take in the view of the bay, then walk along
the beach to the harbour, perhaps take a boat from the
harbour to Brixham or Torquay. Have a traditional fish &
chips lunch. Walk up to the stately
Oldway Mansion (former home of the Singer
sewing machine family) where civil marriages are held.
Book a seat at the Palace Theatre and see a show. Go
shopping in the independent shops in and around
Winner Street. Finish with
dinner at the

Train to Torquay

Start at the HiFlyer tethered balloon and float up to 400 feet above Torbay to get a birds eye view of the coast and towns,
next pop up to newly restored Torre Abbey historic house
and gallery. From there wander down to Torquay
waterfront and view the boats and yachts in the marina.
Take lunch in a harbour restaurant. After you've
recovered take the short walk to Living Coasts where you
can see coastal birds, sea life and roam amongst the
penquins. If you've still got some energy why not wander
back to Paignton along the coast and take a detour via
Cockington Craft Centre and
Country
Park.
In the evening relax with a beer and a light meal at The
Shoreline (behind the Apollo Cinema) or have enjoy a
meal at The Harbourlight Restaurant, Paignton.

No? Ok, rent a Kayak and get to know the Bay. Watch out
for the tides though!

|
Brixham is a working fishing port and so is the best place to sample
fresh fish. It's also a beautiful traditional English
harbour worthy of a few hours wandering around. Home of
the Golden Hind.

Kents Cavern is only a mile from Torquay
Harbour and offers 400 million years
of history, as the home of
Britain's earliest
human beings. From there catch another bus up to
Babbacombe and the famous Model
Village, known as
Britain's largest and
best-kept (miniature) model village.
Later on play crazy golf on Paignton seafront then catch
a movie at The Apollo Cinema.
